Founder

MariLynne Mele Cosmillo, owner and founder of Coiffe Professional, is a hairstylist whose long time inspiration for hair has taken her through many facets in her career. Deciding at the age of 14 that her destiny was to be a hair stylist, she trained in her native state of New Jersey, and quickly made the transition to New York City, the crux of hair trends, fashion, and creative minds alike.

Her passion for hair styling grew, as she became a senior stylist at Blow, the New York Blow Dry Bar. Evolving with the brand, she transitioned into product development and became a Lead Educator and Platform Artist, traveling across the United States as well as internationally to train stylists in creating the best blowout. There MariLynne hosted product launches and styled women across the globe, including Italy, Sweden and Norway, and became a sought after industry talent. Soon after, MariLynne transitioned to Rachel Zoe’s famed DreamDry, discovering and managing new talent while styling for the brand.

As an accomplished hair stylist, her work outside of salons include styling at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week for designers Milly, Tommy Hilfiger, QVC, and many others. Her boar brushes and curling irons have met the lengths of Kate Upton, Ireland Baldwin, Blake Lively, and Lauren Conrad. Her name has been scattered through the pages of Allure including their ‘Best Of’ Issue, along with Marie Claire and Women’s Day, to name a few. You can find MariLynne’s tutorials online for both hairstylists and women alike.

MariLynne’s strong business sense combined with her expertise in styling has motivated her to bring something new to the industry she loves. Teaching and watching stylists grow as artists is what Coiffe Professional was built upon. In this new venture, MariLynne has taken great care in not only designing classes that ensure fellow stylists get the most from their educational experience, but also showcase top trends and teach the best techniques in achieving them. It is Coiffe Professional’s mission to create a learning environment that inspires, enriches, and produces techniques that enhance the stylist’s abilities daily behind the chair.
